Since their debut in 2007, the GS models in the F series are synonymous with pleasure on two wheels. With the benefits of being “Made by BMW Motorrad” you won’t lack any details for undertaking a new adventure. It’s not in vain that these are the models that represent the mid-class Adventure segment. Just like it was before, the abbreviation GS represents the perfect synthesis between an ability to travel and travel long distances, sporty dynamism and exceptional off-road performance.
They are the perfect companions for going into the most distant and exotic corners of the world, but for us they’re just fine for exploring the most spectacular parts of the Iberian peninsula.
Since the first models the transformation has been clear. BMW Motorrad has completely redesigned and transformed its mid-class GSs for an even simpler and more carefree ride, whether riding on the road with sporting aspirations, going on a trip with a partner and luggage, or enjoying an adventure outside of the asphalt-covered cityscape.

New F 750 GS and F 850 GS models
The new F 750 GS and F 850 GS are aimed at a very specific market. The F 750 GS was designed for those riders who prefer the feel and conceptual design of an off-roader for travelling, along with low seat height, high power, high efficiency and excellent quality. Then we have the new F 850 GS, which in addition to providing more power and torque, also has features for more distinctive travel and superb off-road performance.
Increasing the power and torque was the main objective. Likewise, special attention was paid to reducing fuel consumption.
The displacement of 853 c.c. and the power of 57 kW (77 hp) at 7,500 rpm generated by the F 750 GS are more than enough. The new F 850 GS delivers 70 kW (95 CV) at 8,250 rpm, which translates into a spectacular level of power.
Powerful and emotional sound with the help of a crankshaft with a 90 degree crankpin offset and 270/450 degree ignition spacing. The two balancing shafts of the new motor absorb unwanted vibrations. A clutch with self-powered anti-rebound function provides a noticeable reduction in the hand clutch force, while the engine drag torque drop reinforces road safety. The transfer of power to the rear wheel is done through the 6-speed gearbox with secondary transmission, now on the left side.
Obstacles are turned into possibilities. You’ll easily dominate all-terrain tracks thanks to the Road and Rain riding modes, added on to the ABS and ASC (traction control) systems, which guarantee riding pleasure and a greater safety standard.
New monocoque construction steel frame, optimized suspension geometry and new fuel tank location.
The bridge frame of the new F series GS models consists of embedded welded components. It integrates the two-cylinder engine in line as a support element and offers advantages in terms of robustness and torsional rigidity. The fuel tank has been placed in the classic position, between the seat and steering bars, in order to optimize the storage space and the centre of gravity.
A more marked GS profile thanks to a more masculine design. The F 750 GS and the F 850 GS have a totally new design and a more dynamic and masculine look.

The new GS models of the F series are sold with a wide range of optional exclusive equipment for the mid-class. The list of sensational features which allow motorcyclists to maximize riding pleasure and safety, in addition to experiencing the excitement of the road, is virtually inexhaustible for mid-class off-road travel bikes. These include: different seat and windshield heights, a new LED headlamp, ConnectedRide (optional) with TFT screen or eCall system.
New R 1250 GS and R 1250 RT models
We have anticipated the features of the new proposals from BMW for the R 1250 GS and R 1250 RT models. The R 1250 GS is a completely new machine for the adventure tour segment, while the R 1250 RT is intended for long distance road trips.
